Eight new members will join the Fort Worth Stock Show Syndicate.
FORT WORTH, Texas (Aug. 19, 2016) – The Fort Worth Stock Show Syndicate (FWSSS) has announced its eight-member rookie class for 2016-17. The eight men will join the 100-plus current members of the organization, which has raised more than $49.5 million for youth exhibitors at the Fort Worth Stock Show since its founding in 1980.
The new members include: Derek Bennett, Tripp King, Seth Koschak, Dave Lockard, Brooks McCabe, Stephen O’Neal, Spencer Perry and Brad Wharton.
New members of the FWSSS are selected annually by the current membership, which seeks out community leaders committed to philanthropic endeavors and the mission of the Syndicate.
“It is always a special time of the year when we are able to welcome a new group of men to the Syndicate,“ FWSSS chairman Blair Norman said. “We are confident that once again, this year’s class of rookies will be great stewards for our organization.“
In 2016, the Sale of Champions raised over $3.4 million for youth exhibitors. Over the past 36 years, the Fort Worth Stock Show Syndicate has given out nearly $50 million, and also hashelped more than 8,000 kids pursue their agricultural goals by providing more than $1 million in scholarships to 4-H and FFA members.
